Inaugural North San Diego Business Chamber's Trade Mission to Japan, October 6-15, 2025

One year ago, on April 23, 2024, I joined the North San Diego Business Chamber’s Luncheon to welcome the #Yokohama Sister City delegation to San Diego, celebrating 70 years of friendship.

As a member of San Diego's International Affairs Board and former Chair of the IAB's Sister Cities Committee, I am inspired by sister city partnerships fostering global peace and meaningful #economic, #educational, and #cultural connections. San Diego has 16 Sister Cities and 8 Friendship Cities, with the San Diego-Yokohama partnership being the first, established over 65 years ago.

Excited that the Luncheon sparked the North San Diego Business Chamber’s #inaugural Trade Mission to Japan, set for October 6–15, 2025.

Kudos to the North San Diego Business Chamber and the San Diego–Yokohama Sister City Society, and to Chris Thorne and Steven Sigafus for their leadership. Grateful to work with such a dedicated team and eager to see this Trade Mission strengthen #business, #education, #tourism, and #cultural exchange between San Diego and #Japan.
